Privacy Policy & Data Protection

Last Updated: February 2026

At the Bree Class Action Registry (referred to as "we," "us," or "our"), your privacy and security are our highest priorities. Because we are investigating predatory financial practices and data mishandling, we hold ourselves to the strictest standards of data protection.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect the information you submit through our investigation registry.

1. Information We Collect

When you voluntarily join the registry, we collect the following types of information:

  • Personal Identifiable Information (PII): Your first and last name, email address, and Canadian province/territory of residence.
  • Financial Experience Data: Approximate loan amounts, dates of usage, and your specific experiences regarding fees, subscriptions, and bank withdrawals.
  • Website Usage Data: Standard, non-identifying analytics data (such as browser type and basic site navigation) to ensure our website functions securely and correctly.

2. How We Use Your Information

The data you provide is used for one primary, exclusive purpose: building a class-action lawsuit.

Specifically, we use your information to:

  • Evaluate the systemic nature of the alleged legal violations (e.g., criminal interest rates, PIPEDA violations, and unauthorized withdrawals).
  • Aggregate the financial damages to present a compelling case to licensed Canadian consumer protection attorneys.
  • Contact you with critical updates regarding the status of the investigation or when official court documents are filed.

3. Information Sharing: The "No Sale" Guarantee

We are a consumer watchdog initiative, not a data broker.

  • We will NEVER sell, rent, or trade your personal or financial information to marketing agencies, third-party companies, or affiliates.
  • Legal Counsel Handoff: By checking the consent box on our registry form, you authorize us to share your specific data securely with licensed, vetted Canadian law firms who are evaluating this class action.
  • Protection Against Corporate Intimidation: Your individual data will never be shared directly with "Bree" (TryBree) or its parent companies by us. Any legal confrontation will be handled entirely by the representing law firm.

4. Data Security & Offshore Protection

We understand that taking action against financial institutions requires a safe environment.

  • Secure Infrastructure: Our website and database are hosted on highly secure, privacy-respecting servers located in a jurisdiction known for its strict data privacy and freedom of speech laws (Iceland). This ensures your data is shielded from unwarranted corporate overreach.
  • Encryption: All data submitted through our forms is encrypted in transit using industry-standard SSL technology.

5. Your Rights (PIPEDA Compliance)

Under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and provincial privacy laws, you have complete control over your data:

  • Right to Access: You may request a copy of the exact data you submitted to us.
  • Right to be Forgotten (Deletion): Unlike the applications we are investigating, we respect your right to leave. If you decide you no longer want to participate in the registry or the potential lawsuit, simply contact us. We will permanently and irretrievably delete your records from our servers within 72 hours.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the investigation evolves or when the case is officially handed over to a specific law firm. Any changes will be posted clearly on this page.

7. Contact Us
